Lessons Learned From the Dog Whisperer

Updated on August 28, 2012

Come in, sit down and have a seat,

Beware the dog around your feet,

His bark is meaner than his bite,

He really tries to be polite.

Pretend that you don’t notice him,

When he nibbles at your bare shin,

Please be still and don’t raise a hand,

I’m sure he’ll start to understand.

Saw the dog whisperer today,

He said this is the only way.

To teach a critter such as mine,

Will only take a little time,

The little dog will learn by this,

Cesar has made a friend of his.

Thank you very much, glad you stopped,

What’s that you say? He ripped your sock.

I’m so sorry, I’m sure he’ll quit,

Please let me calm him down a bit,

Wish you could see his gentle side,

Chihuahuas often show their pride.

He really is just as his name.

Mostly timid and mostly tame,

Whimpy will always be our pal,

He’s nothing like the dog from hell.

Ours is half Jack Russell Terrier and half Chihuahua. He has the high spirit of both breeds and is quite the character at times.

Whimpy loves socks. He will stock pile them if we let him. He has a split personality, one for the family and one for guest. Needless to say we usually shut him in the bedroom when company comes unless it is our kids or grand-kids who he loves.

We still get the show here. Thanks for stopping by wetnosedogs.

That is so cute! I love the dog whisperer. But I don't get him on my t.v. and I haven't seen him in a long time on my daughter's. Is he still on the air?

As is my lazy habit, I leave socks laying around and my dog loves to get them and wags her tail like crazy. I know she moves them around when I'm not home. She either likes the stinky smell of dirty socks or she can really smell me on them, though I hope I'm not stinky!
