Let The Fun Begin

Updated on October 16, 2014

A Much Better Way

It is very easy to get caught up in life's day to day struggle

We begin to take life too serious

Forgetting how much fun we use to have

Llook forward to tomorrow as it was a series of adventures

Remember the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew mysteries ?

Where you could curl up to a good book and the excitement would never end

Sometimes we get hurt by a painful experience

By a loved one we have lost

Reading the news of tragic events

Our own life has taken a tumble

Soon our mood becomes one of disappointment and sadness

If we are not careful we can continue being depressed

Then it is only a matter of time

Our life soon reflects our mind

Forgetting so many years of happiness

As if a big wave has washed them away

Leaving you all wet and upset

The pain runs so deep

Giving you nothing else to live for

Now isn't it time

To break the cycle

Life may be shocking and always different

It is a blessing not a curse

Life would be so boring and dull

If our life had no unique differences

I admit sometimes it is a bit much

I really wanted to leave out the mu

I for one have had those times I want to scream

So go ahead and find a quiet place

Where you are completely alone

Then scream

Let it all out

When you get tired or you lose your voice which ever comes first

Now you heard that old saying

Get right back up on that horse

Ride

Ride the wind like a kite

Floating on the waves of air other people miss

Sing

Sing out of tune

Bring back the love

That was never lost just hidden under the nearest pile of leaves

Waiting for you to jump in

Check out your own body

Look how magnificent you were made

There is no mistake about it

You are one of the greatest wonders in the world

Your mind can think so many thoughts

It's time we do just that

Bring those good feelings back

Where are body shakes from a scary movie

Laughs uncontrollably from a good time

Each of our lives consist of years

How many we don't know

So it is my guess

We are here to help one another

Doing just a little more than the person who was here before us

Do you dare to ask yourself the million dollar question ?

The answer so many people in the world don't know ?

How can we live our life ?

So we can be happy not just today but every day ?

What can we do to bring out the joy that we once had

Seeing a new born baby cry ?

Yes cry

Do you remember getting dust in your eye ?

Stubbing your toe ?

Twisting an ankle ?

Waking up with a stiff neck ?

Coughing so many times from a cold your chest hurt ?

These don't sound like the greatest of times

You are right

They have filled up those empty spots in my life

Now lets look at the times I really enjoyed

Holding a little baby girl in my arms for the first time

Playing with a puppy who can't stop even for a second

Seeing a friend who I have known for a long time

Running down the street so fast I lose our breath

Eating my favorite desert or ice cream

Taking a nice hot shower

Ending with getting a little soap in my eye

Once again life gave me a little twist

I did not expect

It is not the end of the world

We can have more fun

It is our right

To enjoy our life

So as you leave here

Your back may ache and things in your life may knock you down for the time being

Don't worry they will turn around

I have a root canal tomorrow

I am going to be anything but pleased

I have to have it done in two visits

Spending money I didn't want to spend

As I shake my head

Not in disgust

Just trying to get a bee not to chase me

Bring the good times back

Life is too short

So give me one more smile

One that I have lost

So when my jaw aches

I can also remember the good times that I miss not the woes

Each day is a toss up

Like playing a game called Toss Across as a kid

Where you tossed those bean bags onto square blocks

Hoping to get tic tac toe

Three in a row

Many times you missed

Then there are those times that surprise you

When you are hot and win game after game

A few unbelievable times you have no words for

Was it just crazy luck ?

Hours of fun can always replace the sad times we face

Tell me how you change your life ?

When things go so wrong

I am still learning

Help me

If you can't do it for yourself

Because I want to turn that sad song

Into a nice day

To a day that blows me away

DDE Even if it is the same things that happen if we look at it from a different view it feels new. Thank you for reading and sharing. Go outside and take a walk. Reach your hands up high in the sky and stretch. Have a wonderful day in every way.

We'll that was great news Dream On, I bet you were relieved. I had a totally different experience when I went to the dentist that I wrote a hub about it, "the Battle of Hansen's Gap". You should take a look. Anyway my day went well yesterday.

Jodah I went to the dentist and to my surprise it was not a root canal but replacing an old crown. It has been awhile since I booked the oppointment and I just forgot. The dentist wanted to take a closer look. After another X-Ray Under the crown it didn't look so good. Instead of doing the work and six months down the line have to do an implant. He said wait we will leave it alone and maybe you might get a few more years out of this one. As long as it doesn't bother you. So I went home with a smile from ear to ear. At least for now. Seeing your comment is like having a new lease on life. Thank you so much. I do hope your day went swell.
