Let The Ocean Waves Roar

Updated on January 22, 2014

Peace Within A Piece

With each day so pressing and our obligations growing

I find it challenging to meet our physical and emotional needs

Easily swayed by the events that shape our lives

I turn to the ocean for my retreat

Growing up in Massachusetts

As I child the beach was my home away from home

Going often to Revere Beach all summer long

Which just happened to be the first public beach in the world

I found great serenity and joy

Now as an adult I turn to the great sounds of the ocean for total relaxation

There are so many tapes that have the water splashing and waves crashing

I feel right at home

Bringing back all my good memories and the years of my youth

I wonder if you have tried listening to the ocean ?

Does it make you feel better ?

Give it a try and see if a smile captures your face

Then slowly swallows your body and makes you feel refreshed and rejuvenated

What's the worst that can happen

You found one more way to set your troubles aside

Did a little soul searching and felt comfort from nature

Closed your eyes and took a little cat nap

A little rest does the body good

On with your day and get up and give it your best

I will be right behind you

Picking up any pieces that you miss

Wonderful reflection. Made me remember my summer days on a beach in Connecticut when I was about three.
