Let Us Be Remembered

Updated on April 10, 2017

These extreme times of turmoil, of its challenges to the human spirit,

Makes us all in this country have doubts, so hard to grin and bare it.

Every single day a new threat arrives, all to seem as others blaming.

Now, a time to remember our fathers, joys in freedom's proclaiming.

Let not Father time to slip away, then not ever to mark our beginning,

Mother Earth provides for her own, care and preservation, intending.

Our own father and the creator, so gifted to us all, this finest sanctuary,

Now our responsibility to take every care, doing our best, is necessary.

Our peers each see the negligent acts, our children to inherit it all,

This negative behaviour, not becoming, and it may lead to our fall.

Every grain of soil, drop of pure water, so invaluable to all the lives,

Irreplaceable and crucial to the people, as each creature so thrives.

Let not it be said, in our remembrance, we allowed our earth to perish,

By standing together, to voice our protests, show that all we so cherish.

Our babies are born into this world, as were we, let us leave it in repair,

Make our final statement in this life, then reflecting our love and to care.

This world we all so cherish...
This world we all so cherish...

We can still teach the upcoming generations to love and respect each other and this land of ours. I think there are plenty of us boomers around that we can pull it off, whonu. Let's hope!

We must always strive to make a better world for future generations and open up our eyes to what is happening around us.

Thank you MsDora. We all need to take a step back and just to look at what we may leave our children in the future. It is very sad to think that there will be so much destruction of nature. We have got to make amends. Blessings to you and family. whonu

Whonu, thanks for reminding us of our responsibility to live our lives in the interest of our children; they'll be around to inherit whatever good or bad we leave behind.
