Let's Get A Grip

Updated on August 31, 2014

Things Aren't That Bad

It is easy to feel bad when things are taking a turn for the worse

You don't even notice it

As you keep the negative thoughts flowing

Your mouth becomes a sink trap catching all the garbage that tries to go down the drain

You won't let it

Even better you keep adding to it

Feeling bad and aggravated

We can't wait to be disappointed even more

Now changing your mood is even harder

The more you think

Your body begins to ache

Soon old memories of unhappy times raise their ugly head

Like a pimple in the worst place

Bothering you to know end

The more you squeeze it the bigger it gets

Now beside yourself

You are upset and tormented by every incoming thought

We have collided into a world of problems

That will haunt us constantly if we let them

As each problem is more hopeless than the one before

Stop !

We have had enough !

Can't you see the cycle we have created

All from a negative thought and unhappy moment

We have created a doomsday

Take a deep breath

Go for a walk to get your mind off your problems

Clear your head

Now remember every problem until now has been solved

You have a whole history of success to refer to

Let's take all our problems and put them on paper

Now arrange each problem from the worst to the least

You can already feel a sigh of relief

Now take a closer look at a few minor problems and begin there

You would be surprised when one problem is done then another

Take a break

Now see how easy we can recover

Think of all the things that make you smile

Life is pretty grand

If we take one day at a time

We can accomplish what we have to do

We all have a series of problems to handle

If we change our frame of mind

Life can get better than worse

Then we can all reach our bottom line

Having some fun and getting things done

Gypsy Rose Lee Good things and people surround us all we have to do is see.To often we pass right by the morning light. That shines so bright. The beautiful breeze that tickles our toes and our nose at the same time.I could go one and on but I am sure you want to see and feel it for yourself. Thanks so much for all your support and kind thoughts. Enjoy your day and may it be better than the one before,

The pimple metaphor is outstanding. I like your suggestion for a solution: If we change our frame of mind.
