Letter to God

These are difficult times

And it's hard to live the life

That I know you've called me to.

Every day is a struggle;

Like clawing through a jungle.

At times, I can't see the light

That I seek so desperately to find.

But, when the light does break through

I know just what I need to do.

That's surrender to your love

That only you can send me from above.

It is there to light the way

Telling me to keep my faith.

It's okay to struggle on;

You will help me to be strong.

You will be the strength inside of me

And the eyes that help me see.

So, now I write to you to thank you

For every single thing you do.

Without you to shine into my heart

My life truly would be dark.

Love,

Your Child

      Thank you, manatita. As for sevrets revealed, that depends on the srcret and to whom I am talking. Although, it is generally easier to share of myself in writing.

      Light and Gratitude. Two of God's most powerful attributes. You express yourself well. I thought you said that you kept your little secrets? He he :)

      I really like your sweet and childlike simplicity here. God bless your heart and may He guide you always into the Light that reveals Beauty.

      With great pleasure and pride I will give you credit. I believe that if we surround ourselves with wonderful and talented people we also grow to be like our peers. A kind of rubbing off on each other in a good way. So I constantly am open for suggestions and new ideas that bring better ways and an exciting future. Thank you for your quick response.

      That's an honor to me for you to say that. I don't mind, so long as credit is still given to me. I can only hope to move others with the things I write, and when words of mine are found to be somehow inspirational or touching I am deeply gratified.

      When I hear the words of others talk to God it brings back many memories and a long history of when I talk to God. Do you mind if I make a copy and put it in my wallet your words flowed so nice. Touched my heart and my spirit. Thank you so much.

      What a beautiful note to God! He hears all our prayers, and I know, for myself, I could not exist if not depending on God for every second of every day. God bless, voted up and awesome.

      Oh my, Shyron. Thank you so much for thinking so. I am touched by your reaction. It really is okay to struggle and even to feel the pain. There's beauty in it all, though we can't always see it when we're in the midst of it. Hugs and blessings to you.

      Thank you, Maria! That's quite a compliment! I wrote this one on April 17, 2002. I can't recall exactly why, but it still is relevant to me even today so I guess it doesn't matter why.

      Dear Shanmarie,

      I am humbled by reading this. This shows the trust and faith that a child has for her parent...and you have aptly signed it "Love, Your Child"

      This letter reads like both a prayer and an affirmation. This would make a beautiful laminated wallet-sized reminder of our faith in times of stress or hardship.

      Voted UP and UABI...Sharing as many more need to see. Hugs, Maria

      A pretty heavyweight title which caught my inquisitive eye but the words which follow are certainly written by a heavyweight writer/poet.

      Thank you for putting such profound thoughts into simple words.

      Only the great ones can do something like this.
