Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Four Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

The Invitation

Now they want to Rush and come together as a Family because Death has Called…

Voices of the same roots now find time to reach each other, see each other and greet each other like Lost Friends.

Now they want to show Unity, show Love and Respect to each other and for each other.

Pretend Juice will run like an open hydrant until the mourning period is over.

Death has a way of finding Lost Pieces of a Whole and Compelling them to Hear the news of His Arrival.

Just for a moment they will stop, find a way to connect to a lost branch of their family tree that has always been around...

Find a way to dig up that number that they could never find and call those roots they love but never showed it.

just for a moment Differences won’t matter, Memory Talk will fill the air…Hugs will appear.

Death made this possible because Life wasn’t given much of a chance to Heal the Family...

Maybe, just maybe, someone will take a stand and say something that shakes the Family of Grief into finding Peace with each other and stop letting death send out Invitations for a Reunion.
