Choose wisely

Life is just a moment

In time

Nothing will last forever

As the years go by

Time is lost

Fading away

Be happy

Set yourself free

Of worries

Thoughts that blind you today

Tomorrow is always a new start

The ideas of today

Will have different meaning

Yesterday

Before you know it

Everything will be over

The end it will be near

Life will be done

If you don't make the best now

You will have many regrets

That will block your mind

Start today

To enjoy every moment

And you

In the end

Will be set free

Scary-looking foot bridge, Caroline, but very homey-looking too, and perfectly illustrates your poetry. Good job!

A simple truth that should be common sense - yet isn't! Live everyday as if it were your last - suck the life out of it! Beautiful piece of writing, Carolinemd!

Very beautiful. The only thing we have in life is this very moment and if we live according to that, then there are no regrets. Nicely written.

Caroline, I came back to this amazing poem today because the deep, wisely compassionate thoughts which are expressed here resounded throughout the weekend. You have an incredible ability

"To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour" (William Blake, "Auguries of Innocence").

      Kind regards, Stessily

@ Hi Sky LOL thank you for that great compliment. I am glad you liked this poem. I came up with it in a moment of sadness about life trying to comfort myself in a way. Thank you for your constant positive support. Why will you not be on as much? Take care good friend.

      @ Thanks Michael!

Hi my dear lady Caroline . Love that bridge in the pic , it leads to new beginnings.

I smiled when I saw the name , making me eager to read, I read, and I said to myself , there she goes. I read over again ,and did something I haven't really done before, and said to myself , life is truly great. I believe you are onto something , and it starts with this poem.

I will always follow you. Won't be around as much on here as much but I will be checking in. Got what I was waiting for, and this journey that is life continues.

      Bless.

Nice writing Caroline. Yes we need to try to live every day fully, give it our best, and live for the present. To appreciate all experiences that come our way, and make the best of what and who we are. Voted up and beautiful :-)
