Life! It's Now

Updated on October 20, 2014

I can't run this race believing I might lose. There's still so much to see and still so much to do. Yes, I'll fall before I fly, but no one can say I never tri

Funny how the world goes spinning 'round

'Round and 'round until we all fall down

Dizzy, dazed, and confused

But with nothing else left to lose

So we get back up and play the part

Until joy once again sincerely radiates from the heart

10-18-14

Life is good, life is grand

This life that's yours and this life that's mine

Look within and take a stand

Hurry now, don't lose anymore time

Stand up for what you know inside to be true

And no matter what - never be afraid to just be you!

10-18-14

Jump up and down

Go ahead- scream and shout

Or better yet- just laugh until you cry

Until it all culminates into one big sigh

10-18-14

Very beautiful lines with good inspiration. One should not lose hope. Be positive minded and go ahead without being discouraged by hurdles and failures. It is your life.

Beautiful outlook on life, Shan. I love this enthusiastic poem here. We do have but one life here on this earth, so let's live it to the fullest each moment and to love each other with that fervent love as Christ would have us do.

      Hope your day is lovely.

      Hugs

Tomorrow is not promised, dear shan...this is a beautiful, joyful reflection to remind us to live each day to the fullest.

Have a peaceful day. Hugs, Maria

I just loved this. I like that kind of verse and the message was uplifting to start me on my day. I imagine just once today I will think of your hub here and give someone a smile today ---I thank you for them.

Thank you, Venkatachari. Keeping a positive way of thinking helps one out of anything else that is not so positive. It's essential.

Thank you, Eric! It makes me happy to make others feel good. It's humbling, too, to receive comments like that. I'm just me doing the best I can. I am so glad you found inspiration in my thoughts and reflections.

It's excellent, shanmarie! The first poem reminded me of one of my early ones:

      The morning's world's

      Indifferent

To the inner state of me.

      I could be dying here,

      And even so, -

      In that same moment,

      Through glistening dew,

      A bird sings.

      Breezes blow.

      A sun arises.

      Cocks crow.

      A squirrel listens,

      A church bell rings.

      Roaches endure.

      Surprises ~ few.

      But this, I know -

There is a kind of comfort in it.

      Life is securely insecure!

Thank you for this upbeat poem and approach. We all need a little coaxing now and then to look up, be different and never give up what we believe in. Stay true to self as you know yourself true. Stand up for something or you'll fall for anything. It's all important, all important.

      Great hub. Chin up! Always!

Hi Rasma! My weekend has been sunny indeed. In more ways than literally. But, speaking of the sun, it is a good thing that it is shining. I realized that the pineapple plant I'm trying to grow is doing much better. The roots it sprouted are about to flourish, I think. I'm working on a hub about it. I don't really have much of a green thumb, though, so we'll see if it lives past the point of publishing the hub. hahaha

So lovely my sensational Shan and I have long since admired your innate and masterly skill as a lyrical songwriter .....thank you for always inspiring with your comments and friendship and I can also say the same about your ability as a writer to move, teach, and inspire your readers as well.

You say such sweet things, Epi. If I could so easily actually write songs for a living, I would. I love the way music has the power to move, so you pay me a great compliment. I hardly know what to say in response.

If you mean comments on your site, it is always a pleasure to read your poems!

Oh my gosh girl , you do move and inspire , How many young people do you know who put forth such poetry , such kindness and talent as you ? Not as many as you might think , Or older people for that matter . Just make sure you continue to do what you do !......:-} I vote you up every time I read your words , shhhhh ,tell no one ,sometimes more than once !

Just how young do you think I am, cowboy?

Seriously, though, that is so kind of you to say and so much appreciated. If you read the self interview hub I did for Availias's challenge, I really do appreciate when I can do something moving. It's probably the only reason I dare to share anything I write at all.

Hugs. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

P.S. Thanks so much for the smile.you just gave me, too!
