Lighten Your Heart

Written for Poetry Month

Lighten your heart,

Throw away all your sorrows,

Erase all bad memories and thoughts,

Remember, there is hope today and tomorrow.

Lighten your heart,

Ease out all the pain,

Live happily, laugh merrily,

Every moment, again and again.

Lighten your heart,

Chase away all your doubts and fears,

Open your eyes and you will see,

Hope and sun shining brightly.

Lighten your heart,

Look out for a rainbow,

Even in a cloudy sky,

There is hope for all in sorrow.

Lighten your heart.,

And you will always see,

There is hope and love,

In abundance,

For you and for me,
