Lightening Strikes Twice

Updated on September 29, 2012

I didn’t ask you for your phone number today
I decided to see if fate will send you back my way
I knew you felt it by the way you decided to linger
All I can do is hope that your heart will remember

You told me where you like to hang out
I know what you were really talking about
You were telling me you want to meet again
That was the message you were trying to send

They say lightening doesn’t strike twice
But I hope the storm decides to return
When I hear the thunder I’ll stand outside
And let the wind blow me into your arms

You never know when you’re gonna’ find love
You see a girl and wonder what she’s thinking of
Then you see a smile that’s meant just for you
And it’s so natural that you know exactly what to do

They say lightening doesn’t strike twice
But I hope the storm decides to return
When I hear the thunder I’ll stand outside
And let the wind blow me into your arms

I never thought about love at first sight
But seeing you today made me believe
You were so happy to meet someone new
And my heart begged me not to leave

Great imagery with the lightning and storm. Capturing an image in a poem or song lyrics can be challenging- I had no difficulty here. Excellent.
