Lighting the Path

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

Ever-present the light of knowledge,

transforming darkness from a single candle,

and in growth shadows recede into oblivion,

and light alone pervades life with clarity.

What we know leads us to more understanding,

illuminating a distinct path,

a course of thoughts and actions that define us,

and expand an inquisitive and relentless mind.

The pursuit of knowledge is a noble course,

one that tempers the ego and the perspective of self,

possibility and place the purveyor of balance,

and a broad viewpoint beyond the periphery.

It is never the results or conclusions of knowledge that holds importance,

more the journey, the thoughts alive in pursuit,

that hone a character with an accepting mind open to life,

and the secrets that beckon discovery.

The path of knowledge is a lifetime undertaking,

once accepted a propensity of thought and direction,

and no matter to what purpose,

a mind seeped in understanding with singular opinions and views.

The more the seeking, the greater the light,

and the capacity to grasp infinite possibility without finite conclusions,

and in this the seeker becomes a mere observer,

assumptions the stuff of fools.

Knowledge is a glass half full, always,

and truth a concept in flux,

and we the viewpoint of limited perspective,

bare witness to the miraculous world unfolding, moment by moment.

Take life by the throat, while you still have time to enjoy the opportunities.

      Tony,

A golden thread: "..and the capacity to grasp infinite possibility without finite conclusions,.."

      Ten words of wealth.

      Thank you,
