Limerick Silliness

Updated on September 19, 2014

Little Susie Sunday

Little Susie Sunday

rested until Monday.

Slept on every blues day,

and never sang on Tuesday.

She would have wed on Wednesday,

but thought in bed she would stay.

A fighter every Thursday,

you could say it was her Grrrr's Day.

Yet once on every Friday

she'd rise and hit the highway,

so that when it turned to Saturday

she'd be tired enough for Sunday;

weak you might say/

Starting To Slow

If you know everything there is to know,

and you've been every place there is to go,

eaten every delight,

slept well each night,

chances are you are starting to slow.

Seeking Mercy

If you are seeking mercy,

don't count on asking Percy.

His dad abused him.

His mom confused him.

So he joined the mob in Jersey.

Silly, happy times....

A Lazy Limerick

Like good old Rumplestilskin,

at least one of his silly kin,

Old Homer was no weeper,

nor was he a real "keeper."

But sleep? He could in any din.

Curly Aladdin (Deceased)

There once was a curly Aladdin

who kept his genii so sad in

a bottle just made from weeds,

and fed him only on seeds,

until, escaped, he did his Dad in.

There Once Was A Gal From Boston

There once was a gal from Boston.

She went to work with Red Sox on.

No matter the weather,

you'd see them together,

even when she moved to Austin.

So Happy

"So happy to see you," he said.

"If I could, I'd take you to bed."

Though he lingered and lingered,

by a bee he was stingered,

and went to a clinic instead.

I love the silly picture at the bottom. Needed some laughter and knew this was the place. Cheers to good humor. Where did that kid say the ice cream was?.

Ericdierker - A little silliness ought not to do any harm. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
