Man's Duty

For all her self-defined beauty

(far more like a faded cutie)

She felt to strut her stuff

but found it not quite enough

to attract men's gaze as their duty.

Farmer, Tractor, Match?

There once was a farmer

most considered a charmer.

He thought of his trractor

as an additional factor,

while seeking a stocking darner.

Whistling His Tune

He sang his most endearing song,

hoping his chosen would come along

while plans he had made

for her kiss in the shade

with a hug he determined to be strong.

Nighttime

The fire's glow lent

a flicker 'til spent,

a glimmer of fall

when autumn leaves fall.

and so the night went.

These were exactly what I needed to read - I'm smiling and more relaxed - thanks for sharing them...as usual, your work is excellent.

      Dear William and Dora,

I am glad you had some fun and a lightened mood with these. They will still be here the next time you come by, with perhaps another few added. Demas

      Dear Mackyi,

Except for transcribing the handwritten limericks, the four limericks took about 25-30 minutes. I'm glad you enjoyed them. D.

Very entertaining. I really enjoy reading these limericks. Out of curiosity, how difficult was it composing these lines?
