Little Brother (A haiku poem)

Updated on April 1, 2017

godsend in feather
A word spoken, by the sun
to five year old me

his pages in wind
Slow motion rhythm – his soul
of schools and laughter

“You’ll hold my hand, please?!”
We dodge muddy pools, thin ice
But he leads, not I

floating in locked crates
The light of his gravity
through unseen pinholes

silent impression -
the adornment of his star
my great dear brother

I love haiku. So short and beautiful. Jamie
