Little Butterfly, a poem

Much to my surprise,

A little butterfly landed on my heart.

Full of life and playful,

Its colors were so vibrant,

Its moves so elegant,

I could not look away.

Intrigued and touched,

I observed it for a long time.

Because it was free to do so,

The little butterfly flew away.

So I closed my eyes,

Hoping to remember forever

What the beautiful butterfly looked like.

But what was I seeing ?

So, I shut my eyes again,

Longing to see its beauty,

Wanting to see it dance in front of me.

And then it reappeared !

And suddenly it all became clear to me :

The little butterfly was you...
