Little things I've noticed ..........

Updated on May 14, 2013

She wore a lacy blouse showing
her bare shoulders
smoking a cigarette
And a skirt that accentuated her hips
wonderfully
Tattooed from wrist to breast
and carried a tiny child
in her arms

He spit out tobacco juice into a mountain
dew bottle , pulled up his own
baggy cargo's and lifted his
son up to go change his
diaper saying
"What the fu##k"

I watched as the older man dressed
like he was going to church
walk out behind the shaded park
trees and pulled a joint out
from his jacket
and lit up

I watched as a five or six year old boy
went to cross the street .......
turned and carefully grabbed his
younger sisters tiny hand and
looked both ways
again and again
never once letting her
hand go
until safely across the street

Just a couple little things here and there that
I tend to notice
But the funny thing was
Looking at all of these I realized
that that little boy was the most mature
of them all
Sad huh?

No Judgement ! here ............just little things I've noticed......

      Oh this really happened.

Well I am not surprised, I have seen worse with parents. Yes it is very sad especially in these times.

Good little story to write about

      Ed,

Oh you have a way of making even the simplest things beautiful! I, like you, notice these simple things... it all means something... what you make of it is up to you. How cute an ending... deep and a bit sad, but definitely beautiful! You are a one of a kind Ed... we need more like you!

      Big Hugs,

      Cat

We arent born sinners, we dont know hate as babys, those things are learned. This world and the way things are play a huge role in the people we turn out to be. So many temptations, so many new things to try, so many things bad for us. As a child we only know what we are taught. and we have that childlike innocence about us, but as we get older that innocence fades and we learn more and more about the world and its ways.

You are an observer and so am i, i notice things that make me happy, then i see people who must live in the woods. If they are adults, i look away, it's none of my business, but a child i notice and watch their innocence and wish the people who possibly lives in the woods would realize how very fortunate they are to have a child to love...

Beautifully expressed, Ed, and so true! Sometimes, adults don't act like adults..... You are very observant :)

Life can be harsh. I too have sometimes noticed that siblings tend to watch over each other much more than the parents watch over them.
