Living Faith - Haiku collection and a story

Updated on December 14, 2011

Living Faith - Haiku poems

Faith lifts me high.
Even when man lets me down.
Soaring as eagles!

Faith pulled me out,
From a bed of pain and doubt,
I walked by faith!

Moving all mountains,
That make life stand still,
Faith the leveller!

Erasing all fear,
A life full of hope is near,
Faith is my strong hold!

Miracles I see,
That often surpasses belief,
By implicit faith!

Beautiful life,
A future with hope,
In faith I live!

Living faith - living the faith

Faith is a lifestyle. Without faith there is no hope, no future. Faith is a matter of personal profession... but when we live a life of faith, it becomes a public profession of faith, you become the Living Gospel. Faith is something that comes, not with much studying and research, but with the ability to take God at His word, it requires that childlike quality in you.
Remember the words ‘Unless you become like little children you shall not enter the Kingdom of God’..Mat 18:3

A story of living faith

I remember a story of a man, a story which touched me and continues to touch people with whom I keep sharing this. This is a real life story of living faith.
There was a man from the slums of Mumbai, a man who was a hoodlum and a petty criminal. He was taken by his reformed friend to a house, where a preacher preached the word of God. The man was sniggering until he saw people walk out of their sick beds and wheelchairs. He did not understand much, as the preacher spoke in English, but was fascinated enough to ask his friend what the preacher prayed. He insisted that the man tell him the exact words.

The friend told him that the preacher used some Scriptures to pray,

a)For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am in their midst. Matt 18:20

b) Ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you Jn 15:7

The man went home knelt down and prayed sincerely. A little later he went out of his house on some errand, and met a man who was ill. He wanted to test his faith, so he prayed. He used the same words as the preacher and prayed like this “Dear God I do not know all the words that the preacher man said, but if you are God and you made him and I, now hear my prayer. Your Word says that “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am in their midst. now I thank you for being here, I don’t know about this healing business, since you also said “Ask anything of me and it shall be done for you”, now, heal this man right away”... and bang the man was healed. This man was so excited that he went around praying for people and people were healed... he continues to do so even today with his child like faith.
This simple, reformed, petty criminal has been my inspiration in many ways. People who know me, know this story and how this has changed my life...Living faith. Become the living Gospel!
God Bless!!

Sky9106, thank you. I really mean that I walked physically by faith.. I was confined to a life of partial mobility and faith changed my world. One needs to taste and see that faith works and only those who even attempt to try faith can see it work... Believe and you shall see the glory of God!! Faith .... :) loved your comment :) God bless :)
