"Lollipop Time" By Rolly A. Chabot
Here we are again so lets get all cuddled in close. Find a comforter, a cushion and a soft place to land. One rule all hands above the comforters. That's right, all hands in full view ...........................................
Many on social network have heard that I am not feeling all that well but I can tell you I have started to feel better. Thank you for the many emails and prayers, you are all special. I still have a long way to go I think. This one really beat me up right proper. Not at all like the old days when I could bounce back. One thing for certain is I will need to start looking after myself a little better. I think a combination of maybe working some long hours, away from home, not getting proper rest and maybe not the best of foods.
I was graciously bestowed the Lollipop award by our dear and faithful friend Silvergenes and to her I send along much love and gratitude. You are a sweetheart and I thank you blessing me. Now is the time the award moves into the hands of another. This has been a process of considering many of you whom have supported this community. Keep in mind that none here are any less than the other. Trust me when I tell you I would love to pass this along to many but the rules are only one can be chosen.... welcome to the Fireside and it is here I offer you free hugs and much love. Settle in, dim the lights all except for the one spotlight and lets see what happens tonight.
Warning... I am watching those hands and trust me I can not do justice to the great Lollipop design Silvergenes came up with so close your eyes and imagine...
Many of us have come to know her for her wit, her talent and diversity as a writer. That's right she is a little girl at times, a prankster and above all a lady. We have all been blessed at one time or another with her off the wall sense of humour and yet are drawn back to the special side of her writing.
She has a very diverse background. She has lived as far north as I have, she has seen much in her life and she is a bit of a Gypsy moving from one extreme climate to the other end of the scale. She is strong, beautiful and charming all wrapped up in one. She has so many friends all over social media and I would say it fair to say who can count them. She has a strong following who love her work and come back for more each time they are notified she has written something new. To me that is the power of a great writer and trusted friend that will deliver.
Reading her work is much like opening the mail into her life. You can see all her sides if you are willing to read between the lines. In all likelihood you are following her on the many sites she works. If you are not get on the bandwagon of fun and be prepared to laugh, roll around on the floor and yes at times weep when she shares from her heart. Who is she, well she is a little of everyone and we have all come to love her dearly.
Miss Terrye or TT as I call her
I first came to follow Terrye a few years back when I came across a quote she had written. "Incomplete paperwork haunts me...so." It was simple and yet at the same time profound. To me it opened the door to much of her talent and there is little she has left unturned in her writing.
Her writing carries both a soft tone and yet she writes like she carries a big stick and is afraid on nothing when she speaks. Often we the readers are left with a sense of new direction over what she is passionate about. Family are very important, her love of nature is very apparent and it speaks volumes in her words.
Some many of her works can be found here on Hub Pages at:
I so love this bio she has written and I do hope it gives you a sense of why we love her as we do. Read between the lines and catch the glint in her eye and the side that makes you want to know more.
I was born in Arkansas, raised in Alaska, and recently moved from the Badlands of Montana to the beautiful desert of Arizona.
My interests include: writing, photography, gardening, horses, travel, reading, cooking, and baking.
My favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy, but occasionally, I can be found reading paranormal (vampire and werewolf) and gardening - I know, a heck of a combination, huh? I wonder if there's a werewolf beet...hm...
My bucket list includes: visit the last 14 US states I haven't been to yet, visit Europe, finish my 4 novels that are in different stages of "almost done," get my 5 year old non-communicative autistic son to talk, teach my husband to pick up his dirty socks, learn to knit, win the lottery, buy a horse ranch, and sail from California to Alaska.
Odd facts about me: I like salt on bananas, my best friend (other than my husband) is a llama, I love to write - have no problem getting started but seem to run into a wall shortly after starting, and I hate to wear shoes.
The rest well you will have to work at finding them like the rest of us because she is all over like the wind.
I thank you Terrye for the many laughs, for the many memories you have stirred in this old Northerner of your tales of the North. Thank you from us all for your friendship. May this small but precious award I have offered to you bless you for all your hard work and dedication.
Above all Terrye, just rest in the stickiness of this award and when you feel it time to pass it along pause and think of the writer who has most impacted you and given you inspiration. Should you find there are many attempting to lick your ears, well my dear it is a combination of your sweetness and appeal we are all drawn to you.
If you are not following this lady well you have missed the party bus my friends.
Above all Terrye Toombs know that you are dearly loved... enjoy yourself.
