Death/Addiction Poem

Updated on November 8, 2011

I wish it could've been different and ended a different way,

But you chose a life that couldn't let you stay,

You are near and dear and precious to my heart,

You gave me my daughter allowing a fresh start,

We were both young and not very wise,

Little did I know we would always have ties,

I moved on a long time ago,

But the amount of drugs you would do I did not know,

I wish I could've helped you more than I did,

But like I said when I first met you I was just a kid,

I want to thank you for giving me my beautiful sweet pea,

You will never be forgotten, especially by me.

Thank you so see we were so young and things didn't go as planned, so I have been married for 6 years to someone ele, but obviously when you have children with other people you ALWAYS care about them..Thank you so much for commenting! Especially for this particular hub which has the most meaning to me! It really means more than you would ever know! Thanks again!

This is a beautiful tribute to the father of your daughter.
