Lonely Tear (poem)

Updated on September 3, 2015

The silence which now echoes through my heart

Were once the Joyous choruses of you

Where once each precious moment had its start

Resounds those empty words that now we’re through

Now all tomorrows seem to disappear

And all around reminders taunting me

For all is gone except this lonely tear

That falls upon our broken memory

The dream it seems returned from whence it came

A dream that other lovers pine to find

And dream forever all will stay the same

Sweet dream twas me forever on my mind

A silent blame now echoes through my sleep

I dream a lesson only blind men reap

Music only

Break ups are never easy, especially when they tear at your heart. This is beautiful, Martin. It's nice to know men's hearts are just as capable of being broken as women's. Well, not nice, but I think you know what I'm getting at.

So sad but also so lovely. Nicely penned.

Oh, hello there lonely boy! That's what I can sense from this hub.:(

I love the Lighthouse family. I still have their CD and this hub is quite sad but beautifully written.

      Aw, beautifully sad.

"Ain't no sunshine when she's gone" has always been one of my favorites.
