A Broken Home - Heart warming poetry

Updated on March 19, 2012
Source

We wish things were different

But only money can change it

We will stick together through it all

Through thickness & thin Arrangements

Our love and warmth will last forever

No matter what our Broken Home

Made us all stick together

A Broken Home

No heat for the coldest winter

No electric for the warmest meals

No wood for the fireplace to kindle

Poor souls remains chilled

The kitchen sinks even broken

the toilets have no pipes

There isn't even water

to cook our last bag of white rice

The wife gets emotional

She's angry again

The kids are all screaming

"When is it gonna end"

Thank you @shiningirisheyes, I miss being a naval aviator, fixing all the broken parts, and preparing the electronic equipment for the aircraft squadrons that are prepared to ship out for battle or work ups.

This poem is for all those who are experiencing such things today, and a signal to them that theirs always hope when you keep the faith and exercise love above all else.

Thank you as well for visiting, reading, sharing, and for leaving such a radiant comment for me here, it is much appreciated for sure, the lord knows we all need a little digital love every now and then as well.

Cloud - This poem reminded me of my Dad. He, too was Navy however, way before your time. Your profile is amazing and you should be proud of what you have already accomplished. My father came from meeger beginnings but he always stressed that he had love in his home and that got them through the bleak times.

Wonderfully written and thankful that you shared it.

Thanks @Faith Reaper, it is tough these times we're all in but keeping hold of ones faith has its miracles for sure. Oh and thanks for the insightful comment.

CloudExplorer, the title does say it all - so heart warming, reminds me a bit of growing up and doing without, but we had the gift of each other, my siblings and I. He was and is always near. In His Love, Faith Reaper
