Looking At My Hubs And Seeing My Future

Updated on September 9, 2010

When I first came to the hub pages I was so excited

I could write a poem or a story on the computer screen and get it published instantly

With great possibilities of making money and meeting new friends who cared

I felt like I could write and write and tell all my stories and thoughts all in one night

Soon I learned I had to stop and slow down and try to find out what makes me think

I watched and read hub after hub

I soon became more amazed at all the talents I seen

That made me wonder how could I be different than the others who are so gifted

I wanted to share what I learned in my life with everyone who would listen

In such a way that wouldn't be boring and dull

I did not rush to create the most traffic or the most followers

I only wished to understand who was that hubber on the end

As I read some of their writings and learned more about my life

I began to comment and share a little more of me and found I was different than I had thought

I had more raw emotion and drive that I couldn't hide

I wanted to write as more thoughts became clear

I feel I am changing even so slightly

I feel more relaxed and overjoyed

I have done more than I have ever imagined

Now my thoughts dance happily on the tips of the grass blades in the wind

I sometimes read

I sometimes listen

I write with purpose and great intentions

I am learning the gift of sharing and caring

As I understand what I type has great meaning

My day and night is different

Than the time I spend typing on the hub pages

I am learning to connect both worlds as one

My writings tell a story of the travels I have made

My learning and understanding of the things I feel

The people who I meet and I often wonder are they real

Today is the day I type with great precision and care

Because what I say will be posted for all to read and share

A wonderful piece of writing. I think you have described the feelings of a born writer. Keep on writing, I'll keep on reading.

A great piece of writing here - you have expressed my feelings and no doubt, many others here on hubpages.

It is as important for you to write as it is for Charles Dickinson. Beautiful piece here.
