Looking beyond the Fence of life

Updated on December 26, 2012

There's always a way

I see that path beyond
A colorful guiding light upon
A Life lead to a world unwound
I'm bounded to this tight compound

Deeper goes the gaze afar
That gate that prison weighted by Tar
I sense my life open slightly ajar
Someday I'll get to touch the stars

This is my mind
A great escape from being bound
& that is my spine
Breaking out of Dark covered ground

Beyond the inner Fence...............

Thanks @Laurinzo, I really wrote it all by mistake somehow, and found the video content by chance as well, which made me even wonder how it all came together like it did. Crazy stuff right!

A truly inspired poem. And that video is beyond awesome. Someone had an amazing concept & carried it to amazing fruition! I once wrote a little bitty poem:

Am I on the inside looking out

      Or

Are they on the outside looking in?

      :-)

Hey Shining, thank you for that cool compliment, I tried this poem on facebook originally and it got no love so I moved it here permanently, and who would of know it would evolve into this. Go figure! right!

To me this has great symbolism. I see it as a conversation that someone might have with them self. Simply wanting to break free from the limitations we often use to hold ourselves back. Great write.

@Michele Travis, oh yes indeed the system definitely has many flaws, just as us humans do, and lets hope true justice will be served in his behalf.

I had no clue that his video, and image would compliment my writing of this poem before hand, and so it makes it even more amazing & even to me.

Another amazing poem, but this is more then just a poem. This is true. It is horrible that a man wait to be executed even though there is doubts about the facts that this crime was even committed by him? Thank very much for sharing this with us.

@old albion, I really am happy that you and so many other folks appreciate this poem, I did twist the words a bit, and got lucky with how it turned out for sure.

I couldn't have written it this way though on the first take, no way no how. I'm even blown away by it as I sated earlier to others, yikes.

@TToombs08, Its not easy to do this, well this time however it happened by mistakened chance I guess, I have no clue how this poem became what it is.

I started it on Facebook as a post, and no one visited it and I loved the title, and figured I didn't wanna waste such a cool title, then once I got it here I adjusted the words as if I had a newer renewed purpose for such a poem, then walla all the other yummy ingredients began to spill in onto the page.

Now I'm learning that it isn't about the amount of writing done its the purpose of your content that makes all the difference today.

This is a major break through for me. I will try more of this sort of layering with poems for sure, it is quite bizarre how it turned out though I'll tell you that much.

@dghbrh, yes it is I have no clue how it all came together, it feels as if god simply grabbed my fingers and began to make them type, I was even blown away after I located that video on Vimeo that fit into the puzzle like a Jig to a Saw.

Wow is all my mind is stuck on now, and its memorizing me now as to how it has unfolded, crazy stuff bro.

Thanks folks I really appreciate the rapid response, on this poem here, I tossed it on Facebook in the groups but it got passes up like many others do all the time, hehe.

So, I figured if it failed there I don't want it to go to waste, and I just slightly adjusted it onto this hub, and walla here it is.

I'm so glad everyone likes it, its been bottled up inside me I guess, raging to get out!
