Lord, Open the Windows of Heaven!- A lyrical poem.

Updated on October 28, 2016

I have a passion for life, a love for humanitarian causes, a zeal for the Creator, and an obsession for understanding human nature.

Lord, open the windows of heaven

And pour out a blessing I cannot contain

As I sing

Laugh

Dance

And rejoice

Let it rain

Let it rain

Let it rain

Oh, open the windows of heaven

Carry my voice to the God who reigns

When praises go up

The blessings come down

Let it rain

Let it rain

Let it rain

Lord, I need your blessings

Lord, I need it now

Please rain down your mercy

Squeeze rain from the clouds

I'll dance in the rain until I'm literally soaked

And your blessings flow

Like pure liquid gold

Source

Lord, open the windows of heaven

And pour down a blessing my heart can't contain

And I'll sing

I'll dance

I'll weep

And, rejoice

Let it rain

Let it rain

Let it rain

Oh, open your windows in heaven

As my praises soar

Let your blessings pour

Yes, when praises go up

The blessings come down

So, let it rain

Let it rain

Let it rain

Why You Should Keep Praising Through The Storm.

It's easy to praise when things are going well but during your storm praising can be a challenge. During financial troubles and relationship struggles, praise can be stolen due to worry. It takes strength to praise in the storm and dance in the rain.

Praising during your storm says:

"I may not understand Lord, but I trust you."

Dancing in the rain says:

"Even if my enemy has taken everything else, he can't have my joy!"

Whenever I was feeling my lowest people would say to me "just praise Him." My thoughts were why. Why should I praise when I'm not feeling well, sometimes I just didn't have it in me to praise. Then I realized that praise releases chemicals in the brain that brings healing to the soul because we were created for this purpose.

Every tear you shed is a seed. And, every praise you send out into the universe rains down and water those seeds. In your season, you will reap a bountiful harvest. You shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth fruit in its due season (psalms 1-3)

Lord, I pray that whoever reads this, and understands it, be blessed. Amen.

How did I miss the blessings

You praises caused to poured down upon us all

We could not help soak them up

As the rain began to fall

      Raining blessings upon us all

      Blessings and hugs my friend

Oh Dana, what a lovely poem, with a great message! "I may not understand Lord, but I trust you" is my favorite line. This line really touched me. I like to believe that having faith in someone or something is really important. It's what really drives you.

      Great work Dana, as always.

Keep up the good work! :)

Learning to dance through the times that are not so joyful gives us strength and courage as we know that our Lord will carry us over any rough spots we cannot manage on our own.

Such a lovely way you have shared this thought with us...

Angels are on the way to you this morning ps

Yes indeed, the more we offer up praises to thee and trust him with every single thing in our lives; he will repay and bestow blessings back. Maybe not in the way we hope for them at times, but if you watch the days of your life closely, you will see them, you will know which blessings he has rained down on you. Go dance in that rain!

Allison, If you continue to praise through the good and the bad, out of your belly will flow living waters. Life is seasonal good times and bad times will come but I believe praising through your drought will bring a fruitful harvest when your season comes . Thank you for visiting- all blessings to you.

Oh Dana, Anointed words of your poem created once more the Transfiguration atmosphere " Lord, it is good for us to remain here..." - only to be reminded,

      "As my praises soar

      Let your blessings pour

      Yes, when praises go up

      The blessings come down

      So, let it rain

      Let it rain

      Let it rain."

May the blessing be upon you so you can continue to be a blessing.
