Losing My Marbles

Updated on June 27, 2014

My sleepless eyes bear heavy bags

filled with the weight of the world.

Assembling the fragments of my life

allows me to take in the bigger picture.

I'm a witness to many acts of aggression,

even in conflict with myself.

Breast Stroking in an ocean of emotion

trying to keep my grip on reality

as it gradually slips.

This begs the question, will I live to see peace?

Tranquility resembling that familiar face of death.

The irony

I would love to see you add on to this... it just seems like you have more that you wanted to say. I can feel every bit of emotion pour from your words in this beautiful piece of purgatory poetry... lovely.
