Mysterious Girl- A Poem

Updated on March 15, 2011

Stuck up in the middle of an Island is a girl all alone.

Her eyes wander far and wide to discover she is on her own.

Her Eyes are red with misery & her clothes are battered and torn.

Looks like an angel yet her face is as hard as a stone.

She sits there gazing at the crimson sky.

A thousand thoughts running through her decisive mind.

She opens and closes and opens her eyes,

Like she is waiting for her life to re wind.

Darkness of the night is replacing the daylight.

Yet the girl hasn't moved an inch from the site.

Lost in her thoughts, she turns cold and white.

An ocean of regret lays beneath her crystal eyes.

Motionless and speechless, she sits there like a wax doll.

Who is this mysterious girl, after all?

Oh, She is just another girl who has loved an lost.

'Betrayal' and 'heartbreak', she has come across.

She is just another girl who loved way more than he deserved.

'Love' and 'care' she so honestly and selflessly served.

His promises and lies, all playing in her mind.

She loved him then; she loves him now, Oh Yes, she is blind!

This Island is her personal hell, she is damned forever.

The ocean is the pain she has to come over.

She screams and screams for her ruthless man to come save her.

Instead death walks in and in his arms he takes her.

Love the passion in your pain. So beautiful is death or love making its way to a desire yet to be seen. up and beautiful.

True Freya! A woman's ability to love and to love unconditionally is both a boon and a curse.. When she loves a Man truly, she surrenders not only her heart but her soul too. Which makes it impossible for her to stop and let go.. Like they say an women's heart is an ocean full of love and an island filled with secrets...

Thank you for reading and commenting :)

May the Almighty bless you for being the wonderful woman I know you are!

This is a story which many girls can relate. Sad fact, but somehow, woman's natural ability to loving and caring go beyond it should be.

Beautiful poem, sad story. I hope you always with peace inside your heart, dear. ^^

@4elements- Thank u so much for stopping by and commenting.. Reading the feedback by all you wonderful people is what keeps me going...

Take care and keep smiling :)

@Paul- Sometimes only Death seems to bring relief to the never ending grief that life gives. But yes, its only an emotional death I'm referring to in this poem.

When a heart is bleeding,it takes a lot of time and courage and patience to overcome the unendurable pain. ButI'm happy things are getting better & better with each passing day. I can finally see the light I thought I would never see..

Thanks a ton for the advices and your endless support Big brother :)

      Keep smiling forever :))))

Case- I hope it is only an emotional death you re referring to, not a spiritual death. Never let them be the "death" of who you are. I will not pretend to know your pain, for I am not you, but being older I can gentely offer this..heal at your own pace, and put all the piueces you can back together. It is what helped me thru some of the vents you portray in this poem. Ok nuff "older brother" advice. Wishing you well, -Paul

I know you are the person I can completely depend upon no matter what and no matter when and I love you for that(m too selfish!)

@Will- I can just say if all men thought your way, there would be no reason for tears and broken hearts at all.But u know these days 'love' is taken as a game and there is always a winner and a loser..

      Thanks again.

@Twilight- That's my favourite line too. So many things done and said and all the things undone and unsaid are all photographed in her eyes.

Thanks for reading and do take care

@Zavala- Yes, Dear one! lost love always brutally churns the heart... Thanks for reading ;)

How very sad, and unfortunately, fruitless. I love this line: "An ocean of regret lays beneath her crystal eyes". It says everything.

I appreciate your concern, but I don't do relax. Life is too short.

I do live by my emotions. Yes, its painful at times. But the point is we are all human beings due the dignity and respect as such. As humans, yes relationships fail, and more often than not, painfully, But that is no reason for there not to be an open and honest dialog, where one lies or is deceitful, or at the very least not willing to ask questions of him or her self, and then express those often confusing emotions with our partner, then we are less than honest, which is intolerable.

Ultimately, if we limit how much we love, or do anything for that matter, then we may miss an important nuance that may make all the difference, and in that, possibly fail at something that could have been the most important thing (or person) in our life.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I feel terrible for you - really, but please, I'm happy with my neurosis. I just want you (and others) to be happy :)..

Hey Will,Please take a deep breath and Chill...

Men break women's hearts because we give them the power to. Love is blind and so are all the women. Sometimes we love the man so much that we tend to forget to keep some love for ourselves too.

There is no Mr Right or Mr wrong, its just the goodness and the badness in everyone. Some ppl learn to move on while others lose themselves in the process.

The good thing is we atleast learn the value of love..

I just hope I can overcome this ocean of pain and find myself again..

Thanks a lot for your support and yeah do relax...

      Hugs and smiles

A beautiful, yet sad poem. I like your picture choices as well.

You know, I'm getting pretty mad hearing about men who break women's hearts. What is wrong with this world? How can people hurt each other like this? When we were youngsters, I suppose we learned to use others to get what we want. Where is the voice of reason to help children understand right from wrong so they do not become destructive adults?

Sorry for the rant. I just feel so sorry for this lost soul....
