Poem: "Lost In Him", A poem about soul and unknown

Updated on September 26, 2016

LOST IN HIM | Source

In our day to day life, we, often come across Missing person's posters, links etc. We put the blame on robbers, kidnappers, murderers, rapists and many other tags follow.

Have you ever wondered that sometimes when someone goes missing, vanishes from the face of the earth, there might be something else? Something beyond our comprehension, something that delves and breeds on the human soul? Captivating the divine soul's essence in itself for its own survival? Luring the unknown, innocent victims to blend into it by enchanting and seducing them?

Just think about it...

The following poem is an outlet of my thought processes which is tilted to the concept of that unknown, mysterious, tempting yet very dangerous,"Something."

Sun is high, up in the sky.

When I close my eyes,

Flashes of light shines red and bright.

I am laughing aloud, running around,

Swinging high, tearing the wind to reach the sky,

Swinging low, touching the grass down below.

Looking around, I see a boy, so shy,

I walk up to him and look in his eyes.

I love his eyes, my heart cries.

But Oh why I see no life?

I grab his hand and pull him to me

Let’s play a game only U and ME?

He looks at me with wooden face

and doesn't move from his static place.

I tug him again but to no avail,

He is rooted there inciting me

with his green eyes, smiling so wile .

Saying something through his mind,

I can feel him gripping my soul divine.

lightness and ecstasy fills me inside.

I need to be with him, screams my heart, all the day, all the time.

I am ready to merge in him by all my will.

Just waiting for him to give a call.

One call, and that is what I ask for,

I will go with him forever, into the dawn.

Blending with sea,

kissing the wind,

fusing with sand, anything he wants.

Just one call, that's all I ask for, once and for all, Just one call.
