Lost Lives Past

Updated on July 3, 2013

Where are the words ..we look to find

from the many thoughts

that cross our minds

The hopes.. the scenes..

of broken dreams

a vast parade ..from which we glean

Our memories of...lost lives past

are the ones ..that everlast

Sceaming long...into the night

Reliving life's...forgotten flight

The pain of everyman..weighted down by fate

can it be overcome ..or is it just to late

Pain... expression..written down by one

Still tommorow brings..old words to some

Well done. The mood and rhythm are well matched as I read this aloud to myself. Profound.

Thank You Bobbi, love is two sides of the coin which one we want does not always appear what it is.

      cleaner3,

Recalling the memories filled with happiness is a blessing---however, the flip side is remembering the sad events in our lives---which could be a lesson we need to learn from and retain for future benefit.

      I voted-up, awesome and beautiful.

      Dearest Michael,

Jackie is right, one with a loving heart (such as yourself), no doubt will feel such pain. Isn't that all we truly want in this life . . . to be loved?

Beautiful piece as to the heart's condition.

Please know you are loved and what a gift it is to be able to read your amazing poetry.

      Hugs and love, Faith Reaper

Jackie, thank you for your comment . yes i agree about the pain for we never are truly happy and few find our soulmate.. the price we pay.

Ah, is true and all we can do is forget and forgive...and accept. No it is not too late but maybe too late for what we planned and failed to achieve. There will always be pain in a loving heart though I believe, don't you? Just seems the price.
