Lost Romance

Updated on March 11, 2012

I thought that I would

go mad

searching for the love we had.

My love... where did it all

go bad.?

It was something special...

to us,

at least that's what I thought.... thus

now we seem to search

for words,

tell each other what we think...

we heard.

Our walks together in the sand...

the waves they lap upon

the land .

The beach, it calls us to the shore

where we used to make sweet Love...

therefore, ...Under the moon,

Where we held each other tight

no longer brings forth a

sparkling light...

My long lost love, where did

you go ?

Just when I did need you so.

Would you take me back, my lovely Rose ?

If I pen for you the

sweetest prose.

I fear that I would have

no chance,

to renew our lost Romance

      Lost romance we had,

Turned to lost romance so sad.

      Come give love a chance.

I like your poem (turned to a short Haiku above.) Nice and appropriate photo, too. Beaches are such a romantic place, so hard to duplicate driving by houses and wondering on the difference. Up, and beautiful.

Oh, this is on a little sad note Michael.

Lost romance...but there is a little hope in it too towards the end.

      It's a beautiful poem :-)

This is such a loss. The memories will linger but hopefully all was not lost in the beauty of romance. Lovely poem!

Loss, loss, loss. We have to go on with a new perspective, and build on the loss. Who knows what awaits.

A broken heart makes you a poet of passion

Soul is crying out for communication

When someone is gone, waiting is pointless

Though you miss the gentle excitements.

A heart touching poem as always :)
