Lost In Clarity (poem)
Loneliness twilight and mist
Forgotten I wander the streets
Left with volumes of memories
Blowing in a well seasoned wind
-
Where have they all gone to now
Those voices which called out to me
When they needed something completed
When they needed someone to follow
Or just felt like I do right now
Completely alone by myself
-
The dew of a long drawn out day
Reminds me how old I’ve become
This twilight of journey through wonder
This dream which seemed to never sleep
Older now those cherished footsteps
Older now the meaning of the night
Calling from an emptiness
-
Where is the clarity of it
What misty scent now draws my mind
The tears of years of what once was
Toying with my loneliness
Toying with my sense of time
Clouding my once Joyous streets
Confounding my confusion
Echoes of things far away
-
But as I turned a corner
There they all were waiting for me
Where have you been came their chorus
Just finishing something undone
