Love Breathes
Updated on September 9, 2012
Sand crabs scurry away before the tide
Nothing exists beyond the next wave
Reinventing their life in a matter seconds
Love breathes, gulping air that cannot be saved
One night is all that we ask
As the castle erodes the moment it is begun
Within the beauty of our screams
Love breathes, underneath the setting sun
Shells await those warned by the fisherman’s red sky
Sand dollars are the treasure combed by lovers of the sea
For those who care for the beauty of a conch’s whisper
Love breathes, knowing the tide’s purpose will soon recede
