Margaret Minnicks has been an online writer for many years. She writes articles that are interesting to her readers.

If you have ever been hurt, lied about, betrayed, or disappointed in any way and you want to be healed and made whole again, put all other books aside and read Jentezen Franklin's newest book, Love Like You've Never Been Hurt.

The book was released on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 and the author appeared on The 700 Club on Thursday, March 8 to discuss it. He was interviewed by Terry Meeuwsen who has been with the Christian News talk show since 1998.

The 55-year-old best-selling author opened up about a family issue that he had to deal with that involved his oldest daughter. In fact, he begins his book by being transparent and sharing his own story of his deep personal pain.

The New York Times bestselling author uses himself as a prime example to show readers how to find the strength, courage, and motivation to love like they have never been hurt. He engages readers by using biblical examples and modern-day stories to illustrate that no one is an island who has never experienced hurts.

In his eighth book, Pastor Franklin said if you have never been hurt before in your life, someday someone will disappoint you, betray you, and break your heart.

The popular pastor says he knows for sure that you can love again like you have never been hurt no matter how deep the wound.

Profound Truths from the Book

  • Those closest to you will hurt you the most.
  • People build walls around their hearts to protect them from heartache. Those same walls will block them from being healed.
  • Getting hurt is a part of life. It's inevitable. But that is not the end of the story." It's time to start fresh, to heal, and to learn to love without bounds.
  • The human heart was created with a great capacity to love. But along with that comes a great capacity to feel pain.

Don't Read the Book

Don't read Franklin's book if you have never been hurt. Don't read the book if you don't know anyone who you can minister to after suffering aches and pain from betrayals and unrequited love.

On the other hand, read the book with an open mind if you have ever been hurt and you just can't get over it. Also, read it if you think the guidelines can help you to help someone else.

Franklin speaks from his own experience. He shares what has helped him love like he has never been hurt. He wants the same for you.

Steps to Loving Again after a Hurt

In this powerful book, Franklin gives four steps to loving when it is extremely difficult to do so.

  1. Never stop praying.
  2. Stay committed.
  3. Be aware of your greatest temptation.
  4. Humble yourself, repent and ask for forgiveness.

Ernestine, I was thinking about purchasing the book by Jentezen Franklin even though I don't need another book. When I saw him on "The 700 Club" he said some powerful things. Even the title has a strong message: "Love Like You've Never Been Hurt."
