Love So Yellow

Updated on May 11, 2013

George Frederick Watts (1817-1904) When poverty comes in at the door love flies out the window

When poverty
blobs
dramatically
on the nest,
Love becomes
so yellow
on a gentle breeze
drifting
out
through the window

Yes I read you had a nasty flu, yuck, well I spent most of the day on Monday in the local ER with a heart condition although I was surrounded by women - even the head doctor was a lady. Sending you my most sincere best wishes for your health too.

@Ceres Schwar. Thanks for stopping by and commented.Yeah ,couples should stay together whatever happens and work together to solve their own problems. That can happen only by love and much understanding.

      Many blessings to you,

      @ marcoujor,

      Love should stay in

      instead of out

      green

      as evergreen

      blooming

      day and night

      never worn out

      never doubt

      this is love

      not true nor fake

      just love against the tide.

      Love so yellow,

      I ask you, good fellow...

      Does true love go,

      As fleetingly so...?

" for richer, for poorer..." Just a thought! Peace, Maria

Great poem. This was short but filled with meaning and even imagery. I took it to mean that when a couple has financial problems then their relationship might fall apart and they might end up leaving each other, which is real sad as people who really love each other should try to stay together and work together no matter what problems they may have. The image you have was nice and seemed to fit the poem well.
