Love a Lie.....

Updated on June 12, 2015

Love is a lie

Always meant to vaporize

No matter how much it is true,

Destined to die

Like fish to float

Ice to melt

Birds to fly

Promises utterly fake

Trust to break

Lovers end in cries

Love is just a matter of time

Lower your expectations

Love is never considered high

For some, it’s just a game

No one is to win

Everything to lose

Ending in compromise

For some it’s a trade

Nothing is worth

Emotions has its price

An opportunity to sell and buy

No matter, when you say hello

No love is forever

Get ready for goodbyes

No guarantee about smiles

But assures tears filled eyes

Don’t run after it

Why another try

It has its unique tendency

To die as a lie

No matter it’s you or I

It’s a girl or a guy

An open book or a shy

Insane or wise

Kill your heart

Use your mind

You cannot fight

It’s a fate

To shatter the ties

Only the prize

With no butterflies

Sometimes love can be like you describe, other times true. I guess it's the luck of the draw. Interesting poem.

I have ups and downs with love. One guy I dated on and off for twenty years. He said he would love me forever and I believed him. After twenty years he walked away from me as if I was nothing it broke my heart. I'm sill hopeful but I have learned to be careful and not judge by words but actions. Even if no one ever told you they actions will show you. Beautiful poem and very real. Voted up and awesome.

I found this disconcerting and bothering. But I do not think I have experienced love that was a lie. Gave me much to think about. It was well done.
