Love just left

Out the back door

You left me Hung high out to dry

Never said hi or bye

I always wondered if I existed to you
In your presence
I felt more alone around you than by myself

My mistake was thinking you cared for my health

How dare me
How could I do such a terrible thing

To myself

Now on self loathing mode
wishing the internal pains away

Them tough to get rid of feelings
of non existence to another someone's charm

Rejected rather then accepted with open arm

Thought pattern gone off track
like a run away train

Needing a voice
a touch response
a loving motive brain

Friends till the very end I thought to myself
how silly was I

Being fooled by none other then a selfish desire to be loved

Wanted
admired and maybe even yelled at every once in a while

To be loved is to much to ask for I guess
a grand expectancy

Trying way to hard I guess
was my problem or maybe you had another in mind

Either way it is what it is and I'm over you now

No more staring at your sweet lips
me expecting to lick them up and down

I won't be making plans to go out on a romantic evening neither anymore

Nope I cannot do this anymore
such abuse to my own selfish foolish pride
as I need to stop
craving you
investing my hearts time was a complete waste of my energy

What in the world was I thinking in the first place

Your just a little puppy

I'm a huge old decrepit greyhound half pit bull terrier

Interesting poem, I wonder where the inspiration came for this one? It makes me wonder if the old "decrepit" dog is trying to tell the younger one they can no longer be lovemates because of old age? Quite unusual poem here, Mike. Where did this come from? Curious. Blondey

This is a true love lost poem, animals have indeed lost their potential lovers once before, just like us humans Blondey. It's not good to read to deep into it all, this is purely creative and designed for folks to enjoy. Oh and it came from my mind of course :)

Loved the twist in the tail ending. Keep wagging and we'll keep smiling.
