Love for Fame

Updated on October 12, 2014

I deliberate...

I sometimes over think...

I convey on through existence...

Clutching to an unremitting prayer...

Grasping on to a ceaseless fear...

Petrified to converse out loud...

An urge to have fame...

Famished to gain...

I am malnourished for this game...

Ravenous for a proper popular name...

Vision the world as not being the same...

Scrutinize through my eyes...

Panorama with denies...

Please tell me it's not a lie...

The world is not going to be the same..

Each stride closer to fame I cry...

Do you want it...

I want it...

The day fame comes...

I will be the first to extract it...

Vision my future...

Tell me...

Do I want it...

The need for acknowledgment...

See me for who I am...

Do I want it...

The need for distinction...

Take me to the highest elevation...

Do I want it...

The dream of immortality...

My name will live on forever...

Do I want it...

The dream of notoriety...

Notice me because I will be here until the end...

Do I want it...

I will earn the self-proclaimed recognition for greatness...

This is my Love for Fame...

This is an interesting look into what many people wish for . . . fame. Your poem allows the wisher to consider the positives and negatives of whether it's really want they want. You've put it well with your introspection as to what it means to be in the lime light. It reminds me of the adage, "Be careful what you wish for." Voted up and interesting.
