Lovers’ Lullaby (poem)

Updated on September 14, 2015

Here is the meadow where we used to run

And see the flowers haven’t gone away

The birds still have so very much to say

There in our hallowed haven from the sun

-

The music from our stream is still so clear

And jasmine is still toying with the air

While love it seems to blossom everywhere

And world less gentle seems to disappear

-

Here in our meadow lovers’ lullaby

Where even time stands still to catch our dreams

Where all is still exactly as it seems

And all await to see two lovers fly

-

Here is the meadow memory of bliss

It’s here forever within every kiss

Love is sweet. Good poems make it sweeter as it awakens the sweet emotions.

Isn't it wonderful how a kiss can take us to beautiful places?

Very nice! We have jasmine around our home and the scent makes for a lovely evening and romantic atmosphere, like your poem states. Love the music video!
