Lovers On A Pond (poem)

Updated on September 18, 2013

Was on a pond a tender moonlit night

Two lovers met to dance amid the air

Such was the love this couple had to share

That fantasies and dreams they would ignite

And every heart was taken by this pair

The trees and flowers marveled at their sight

The stars would glow and wish on pure delight

If ever love was perfect it was there

But no one knows what happened the two

Some say a dark unknown had marked their end

A jealousy awakened by their bond

Still even now their moments are in view

As time itself these lovers would transcend

Whenever lovers kiss upon the pond

Both the poem and the pic are provocative. Much enjoyed.

      Happy First Day of Fall,

Life can be different after people settle dow, no doubt about that. Complacency is a hard lesson to learn.

Very dramatic with the image of the waterfall. Splashing indeed!

I must have had to go on to bed last night before this was posted.

Catching up here. Up and more and sharing.

I agree with bravewarrior, this is the image I get too. Two souls lingering on the pond wathing other lovers and perhaps smiling.

Your poems get better and better Martin and I am also a great fan of Richard Clayderman.

      Voted up and shared.

This is very creative. I see ghosts of lovers past looking on at current lovers by the pond. Sweet!
