Lovers’ Stream (poem)

Updated on June 30, 2012

His day now through it’s time to be with her

As evening comes and lights begin to dim

She’s waiting where his mind begins to swim

He puts the world on hold to hear her purr

She puts her world on hold to be with him

He’s waiting where her mind begins to blur

And in the morning lights begin to stir

Another day before her nightly whim

And so it goes for this sweet loving pair

Who were the source of one another’s gleam

There truly was some magic working there

While drifting nightly down these lovers’ stream

A magic with a sprinkle of despair

They only met each other in a dream

Yes, it is beautiful as Deb says here too! Beautiful yet a little sad, but never mind, these lovers see each other in their dreams at least. Voted beautiful!

      I love your poems, mhatter99!
