Love’s Lake (poem)

Updated on January 25, 2014

Along a lake what precious flowers grow

Their colors scent the magic of the day

The sky casts wondrous pictures on display

To relive treasured moment long ago

The music never meant to fade away

Is there alive within the scenic glow

Eternal winds anticipate a show

Return of Joy brings grace to love’s essay

But far away there is an empty nest

Where time did test the temper of a love

Of ones who had brought passion to lake’s shore

On ever’s path does faith of nature rest

The dream of legends flowing from above

As lake beholds a kiss of long before
