MORE CHRISTMAS POEMS FROM MARY ANN DUHART IN UNIQUE POETRY STYLES

Updated on December 15, 2012

A Small Child Laid

(Quatern)

In a manger a small child laid

While the star above shined so bright

I could imagine what was said

As men followed that shining light

What was they expecting to see

In a manger a small child laid

He came to earth to set men free

From the cross a price would be paid

They brought Him special gifts of jade

To a little baby that day

In a manger a small child laid

He would one day lead us the way

He came as our gift from above

A name we would call for decades

Jesus my Savior I do love

In a manger a small child laid

A PRECIOUS GIFT

(Rick’s 40)

In

Manger

Baby lay

Named Him Jesus

Came as a gift to all

To redeem men back to Himself

Wise men came from afar

Led by bright star

Gifts to Him

Also

Brought

Oh

What love

Shown to all

A precious child

Was born in a stable

Why there was no room in the Inn

Yet He came so Humbly

To share with us

His Great Love

His Life

Gave

Celebrating the Season

(Messenger)

Old Scrooge this year I am sure to shun

Time for bargains so I must run

Christmas Shopping oh how fun

Christmas carols I will sing

We give thanks to our Lord and King

I’m thankful for what each day will bring

Holiday seasons are now here

It’s time to celebrate with cheer

Season of lights and beautiful trees

Neighbors decorate as they please

Winter cold is such a freeze

Shopping list won’t be too long

This year I’ll sing a brand new song

Time to forgive all that was done wrong

Holiday seasons are now here

It’s time to celebrate with cheer
