She Is MY TREE: A POEM About A Woman

Updated on September 27, 2012

You are atop my tree
I stand tall because

You are out of reach

Leaves that shiver in the rain

Drip moisture on your skin

Yet you remain there beyond me

Beneath you I stand for days

My hands are cups that catch

Only the rain

I’d ascend this tree for you
I know you will Fall for me

Pardon my strategy I do not mind
Heights, I prefer to write Poetry

I see you there; my pupils
Memorize your face

Mental photography

From a distance I stare

You feel safe out on a limb

You fell down before
I am not him

I leave your side

Only as the sky dims
In my dreams I sip warm cider

Partake of your sweet pie

Your lips Are a caramel apple kiss

Your name is on my tongue

As I reach to taste I am patient

For you To reward my wait
Impress me With your
Strength and
Ample Fruit

I enjoyed your poem, and I hope you will write more to share with us on HP. A great talent is to be shared.

      Have a great weekend,

      Your Hub Friend,
