Mailbox Luxury

Updated on January 2, 2012

A mailbox here...a mailbox the mailman comes again,

For whatever reason...big box or comes on time every time,

Mailman oh mailman show me the sign...postage stamp resigned,

Flying through imaginary airwaves...airplane fly...Henry ford drive.

Elite and poverty mix...stanzas and novels collide...Ben franklin coincides,

Pen to to papyrus...the wet residue travels thousand miles wide,

Of sigmud and shakesphere...dreams for it parts it's silent lips, you believe...of course you do...dream of larger plays
for canny individuals.

I thought the mail was Here...was it late...just for me or for the
entire street, still isn't here...wait I think I see him...the
white truck of emotional paper trail,
No it wasn't him...just private enterprise greedily eating it's way
through society,
Socialism...capitalism...who knows what is really right...just as long
as he is on time.

He just showed up...hours later...the package arriving in my
hand...heavy isn't it,
I want to open it I don't...maybe i do...I wonder if it is
what I wanted,
Think it sounds squishy...feels good...emotional happiness
recouping it's cardboard walls,
It's finally here...I've waited my entire life for new heart...not my old cold atone.

...well Mark my man you ramble beautifully (as you always do) here in poetic form combining wit, charm, savvy, philosophical insight and imagination - and guess what happened yesterday to my mailbox - which is right at the lake side of the road - it blew right off its post due to the high winds from Erie .....but I found it and put it back up today.

Happy new year buddy to you and your family with continued health and happiness in 2012
