Make Money Blogging on Virily

Updated on February 10, 2018

What is Virily? It is a blogging platform where you can earn from your writing.

Started in 2017, Virily is steadily growing. Although the blogging community at Virily is currently rather small, I see new people joining every day.

Rather than directly earning money, you earn virils. How much money for each viril is subject to change, so there is no real way to gauge how much the earning potential is. So far for me, it is not a lot. But what is worth it is the community, the creativity, and my ability to express myself. I write poetry, essays on different topics, quizzes, and I post about my artwork.

Most of the posts on Virily are short, blog-like posts. Each post comes with a picture, which you upload. I use many of my own photos, plus pictures from Pixabay. I find Virily very easy to use.

Why I Love Virily

I love Virily because I feel that I can really express myself there. I can write a poem, or a short piece on my feelings. I can post photos I've taken, and create and take quizzes. Virily is very interactive. There are "open lists" on different topics that people can add to if they like.

I love the community at Virily. Everyone is warm and welcoming. I haven't been there long, but I am getting to know the regular posters. There are lots of artists, poets, photographers and writers. I feel like I've found my little home on the Internet.

I could stay on Virily all day. But I limit myself to four posts a day. People usually post one or maybe two a day there, so I don't want to seem annoying with too many posts. Limiting myself also creates a sense of priority. I have to carefully choose what I want to post about. So I can write the most interesting posts that I can. I don't want to bore people.

Blogging on Virily

Since Virily is a blogging platform, and not an article content site, posts are normally short and sweet. This is the type of style I prefer. This is probably one of the main reasons I prefer Virily to other writing sites. I notice I get more interaction there and comments than I do at HubPages.

It is less structured, which is the way I like it. The creation process is simple and easy. There are no word minimums at this time, although the Virily editors will let you know if they feel your post is too short. This is one thing I don't really like. Because I'm not sure what is exactly expected of me all the time. I think there should be a minimum word count.

What I really like about Virily is that people aren't blogging about their day, and what they had for breakfast. They leave that nonsense for Facebook and MyLot. People take time to blog about interesting topics. However, you CAN blog about what you had for breakfast if you want. Such is the freedom of Virily.

The best thing about Virily is the creativity on the site.

It seems Virily has attracted many creative people. Poets, painters, fiction writers, artists. I genuinely enjoy scrolling down the page to see what's next. There are many talented people. I can expect something new and exciting every day.

This atmosphere encourages me to be creative too. I love to write poetry and paint. I feel like I have an audience there for my work. Although it's a small audience, it still makes me feel appreciated. Like my efforts aren't going to waste. It make me feel like I can express myself in the way I want.

Virily helps to inspire me to do my best. I am always wondering what to create next. Whether it's a painting or a poem, I am always working on something creative. I have even been inspired to possibly write science fiction in the near future. I have always been a reader of sci fi, and I would like to try it out. I can think of no better platform that Virily for experimenting in creativity.

I hope Virily doesn't change. I like it the way it is currently. I want to be there while it grows and expands.

I think the funnest thing about Virily is the quizzes. You can take them, or make them. The platform is set up so they are super easy to create. I've created about a dozen so far. They are by far the most popular of my posts.

I do enjoy taking other people's quizzes, but more than that, I enjoy making them. I have fun researching to come up with questions. I mostly do science quizzes, but I have done other topics as well.

You can create either trivia quizzes or personality quizzes.

Update February

I am not sure what is going on at Virily.

There have been no updates on virils and balance since December. I am not sure if people are getting paid anymore. Most people seem to be confused as to what is going on, as am I .

I did make one payout, I think in November or December. So they at least USED TO pay, although I don't know if that's still the case. I went all of January and part of February without visiting the site or posting, so I was unaware that there was a problem.

I will update further the more I find out.

Sounds like a fun site, I like sites that where there is freedom and interaction. I might give Virily a try, a place where I can just write what I want to - and maybe make some money. I like to write anyway and I often do it just for fun. Might as well try out Virily.

I think a few people have been paid. I haven't reached payout yet though.

I have heard a lot about Virily. In fact, I was invited by my blogging friends there but I don't want to at the moment. I have been to many blogging sites that are no longer existent. I am just fed up joining a new site. Has anybody being paid there already?
