Making A Comeback

Updated on June 21, 2012

Thinking Positive

In life we all have had our share of sad moments

They are a real pain in the foot like a blister that hurts so much

Unavoidable and unpleasant

Bad timing and unfortunate

Then again see what we have learned

Not to take anyone or anything for granted

That makes all the people we meet more special

The good times that we enjoy are more fun when we know the alternative

I have heard the saying over and over again

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger

It is true

It makes us see the world in a different light

We may never be happy of the outcome but we can bounce back

We have all heard of the greatest comeback stories in sports

Why not take the same philosophy and apply it to our own life

Isn't our life more important than any game ?

To keep trying to find a better way when we have hit rock bottom

There is only way one from here

That is up

Everything we do has to be better than where we stand right now

The past is the past and our future is before us

Wouldn't it be great if life worked out to be something extraordinary

When you get out of bed in the morning you are excited

What am I going to do today ?

How can I bring more pleasure into my life ?

In what ways can I help others and feel good about how I made a difference in someones life

How many people in my life have helped me along the way ?

They have all added a little something to make me a little better

Now feeling more energy than before I will search for new answers

There may not be a quick yes or no

But the choices I make will always help move me in a better direction

Keeping my mind clear and my thoughts focused

Seeing the bright side when the lights go out

Enjoying how far we have come when we reach bottom

Laughing at our mistakes and understanding

Next time I will try a different approach

All and all when everything is said and done

We are all human and we really enjoy having fun

picklesandrufus I hear you loud and clear. The positive holds all the answers. We just have to keep looking. It is not always easy and sometimes it seems impossible. Then out of the blue something happens that changes everything. That change grows like a flower that has been planted and grows strong and before you realize it the flower reveals its natural beauty that can't help but shine.Starting with one flower and soon I look around and I see wall to wall flowers. How great is that.I can't remember life with only one flower.Thanx for sharing. You have quite a flower garden yourself and may each flower bring new joys and endless fun.

Sometimes it is hard to see the good when times are bad, but we know that life can't get better if we don't focus on the positive. For me, just remembering the simple things for which I am grateful, helps me get out of the sadness.

      Enjoyed reading your hub!

Deborah Brooks I find myself always questioning how did I get here? What did I do to deserve this ?Truth is it is just life.It had nothing to do what I did or didn't do.Now how I get out of here is up to me.If I sit and sulk and waste more time or just find a way and change my situation to one I would enjoy more.So I turn to my writing to explore deeper into the cause that holds me back.I am glad I made you laugh.I now can laugh too and see better days are here again.Thanx so much.
