Man of Pints

Updated on July 11, 2014

Man of pints

What do you know

Too well the art of chew

To sit all day and waste away

Inspiration to few

Your lies

The cheats

Your well deceiving

Lies not in a dream

Wake up well dear man of pints

Let the nectar fall

Once again deceiving man

You live a damned lie well

Biochemist as an art

Failing father from the start

Masks no longer cover fear

Nor the quakes you shake in ears

Though you'll never flee the scene

And spending coin is not a thing

You seem to not find what you need

While still cheating in between

You speak not much

Yet not so wise

Insulted right by other guys

You say you have worked since six

Your family released your tricks

You've taken all and given hell

Now you do not take the truth too well

I think nothing of your ways

As I exist not in your days

Though, one day I do fear well

That my siblings fall in spell

Lie no more to those you see

Drink your nectar in between

Diabetic full of pain

Relive the next day all the same

I'm not thy child

But wait and see

The kids you've raised look up to me

And they'll miss not a single day

If you were to have gone away

Man of pints

Man of chew

Man of hell I say to you

When dark comes to claim your soul

And you no longer have control

I wish you well

WOW! You really nailed this one and your passion and word flow with poetic rhythm is really displayed here. Any of us that have survived an alcoholic relationship or are living in one can follow your every sentence. Well done, voted up and awesome...
