Mango

Updated on October 22, 2017

An ecstasy that goes by the name of "Mango"

Come summer, and it is mango times in the tropics. A day isn't complete without having consumed a few fresh, ripe, sweet mangoes, as well as a couple of raw ones - plain or salted, as your taste buds prefer it. Then there are a host of processed mango products to make life blissful.

This lens is an ode to this wonderful gift of nature that has enthralled humans and many other species of life forms across countless millennia.

We used to have a mango tree in our garden. It was the green variety which tends to be very stringy. There is a saying that the best place to eat a mango is in the bath!

Oie Vey - I must admit, I like watermelon best,

To master this lusty blimb is a quest,

      The mango I know not,

I 'm from a cool land, not hot.
