Many marbles with many colours – the poem

Updated on August 27, 2012

One small town and a little boy

Roaming around with query infinity,

He has many friends to play with

Endless visions bloom in creativity.

Our little brave boy wants to explore

The unknown for real,

Our dearest sweet kid wants to see

the unseen for actual.

Big trees with colourful flowers…

A blue sky peeping into wide eyes,

He, one day planned to catch Air

in his small fist to show to his friends.

Source

When he tried to catch a handful of air

He could not see anything,

But a zero.. when he opened his

small fist to be proud of nothing.

He decided to unfold the truth

he felt…to his many mates,

And declared that the Air

is bigger than notion he had.

A small mind with myriad

Of thoughts to feel,

But a pure loving soul

for dark world to heal.

Little king of his wonderful

Kingdom to rule,

With friends they had their

world so cool.

Source

They were content with small

Happiness to no end,

Giggling and running around

in the green field.

Wondering days of carefree

Musings to hold the mission,

Grasshoppers to catch with

little hand in garden vision.

Little mind with wisdom

pure to charm,

Rolling attention abound

without any harm.

They have awesome

days in play and laughter,

Many games to enjoy but

marbles are best so far.

Source

Round marbles to play

With mates for so much fun,

Our boy keeps them in pocket

Always.. while eating even a bun.

Marbles marbles ..all around

With all friends to game fray,

Our little king has so many

That he never reckon in play.

Our little boy once thought carefully

And asked to his loving mom,

‘Why cannot we have a world ….

colourful like marbles as our home?

Can we borrow some colour

from these marbles?

Me and my friends…..

Plenty we have to fill the world.’

A little mind who knows that

Air is bigger to see,

He deserves a better world

to nestle in touch with Thee.

Source

If only we could make a world

Smooth without so much hate,

For the little boy to have a sky

Full of laughter filled with faith!

If only world have been as a marble

So colourful with no border,

To fill with love, care, humanity

and a green field to wander.

A little boy with myriad questions

Our little king to teach us many lessons.

Beautiful! The way you connected the innocence of a babe to a way we should all look at the world. Never gave much thought to the "word picture" you can do with marbles. Smooth, no edges, no sharpness, endless colors. Like life they roll on and on. Thanks for sharing these words.

      Voted up & beautiful

Children have such an incredible simple way of looking at life. I wish we would never have lost that simplicity. I loved marbles myself as a child and they were everywhere. Delightful poem.

Yes in the eyes of a child we find a purity of all life and it is a question that haunts us all into adult hood; why can't we always see life as being so pure and share this essence with all, forever more?
