Maternal Suffering

Updated on November 14, 2016

Colonialism injected a disease
Imperialism helped it spread
A disease that our mother long had carried
Killing her for centuries

She kept on surviving
She did every way to stay alive
But her body no longer endure
Feeling hell all over

Her beauty fades quickly
As the disease grew endlessly
Her veins got darken
Her hair died and rotten

Her mind wanted to live
But her body wanted to end
Her soul that still belives
In destruction, there will be true freedom
